Well, it felt like your life was over at that time.
My nan was there.
You know, she's African.
My aunts, my uncles, everybody supported me.
And I'm like, I feel like I let everybody down.
And they don't care.
They'll be for who I am.
But at that time, that was my biggest moment in sports.
I was making the Olympics in 2012 in London.
And I just felt like, oh.
Hometown, ashamed of myself.
And a really, really beautiful moment for me was I'm in the village and the basketball team walks in and Kobe walks in.
And he's like, hi, how are you?
And I'm like, hi, how you doing?
He's like, I'm Kobe.
I'm like, I know who you are.
I'm Miles, I'm a fencer.
And he told me this quote, I'll never forget it.
I got a tattoo on my leg.
