It would be possible to have more sympathy for Miss Wurzel if she wasn't so exasperatingly sympathetic to herself.

But literary memoirs were really, at the time, meant to be for famous people.

And it's not really allowed for somebody to be a good writer and writing about young women's things.

And also before she writes this book, she does try to be a journalist.

She does an internship in Dallas Weekly and gets sacked because I think she supposedly plagiarized it, but actually I just think she didn't fact check.
