Like Jesus talked about Gehenna as, you know, being burned in Gehenna.
But Gehenna was... And that gets translated as hell.
But Gehenna is a real place in Jerusalem.
Like you could go there and take a selfie.
And it's an actual place.
So Jesus was using metaphors and parables.
Like, hey, if you...
If you, you know, live a trashy life, you're going to end up in the trashy, you know, trash heap of Ghana, basically.
But people took it and run with it, ran with it to the idea of, of, of hell.
But back then too, you had sort of the Greek religions really pushing this idea of like the underworld and eighties and all that.
And that kind of got absorbed into the Christian tradition and took on the form of, of hell.
Oh, don't even get me started on how much meaning you lose on... I'll tell you the one that pisses me off the most.
