And her 20 match win streak at Melbourne Park was only ended last year by Madison Keyes, where Sabalenka had another one of her meltdowns.
Across all surfaces, adding evidence to what I've been saying, she's made the semi-finals in 13 of the last 16 slams.
That's unbelievable consistency.
She's already up and running in 2026, winning another Brisbane title, her fifth in four years in Australia.
And for me, she certainly is the one to beat.
So on her day, you have to feel like Sabalenka is unbeatable.
But on her off days...
when she's just littering the court with unforced errors, almost anybody can give Sabalenka a game.
So that's the concerning part about being a Sabalenka backer.
But I do prefer Sabalenka early on here in the season in Australia.
And then also at the end of the season as well, she's coming off winning the US Open again.
I like her there as well.
I like her on the hard courts.
I think there's more pressure on her when she goes to Europe because of the whole Belarus-Russia thing.
Wimbledon is a tournament that she very much wants to win.
And I think she wants to win it too much and really has some problems with her nerves at Wimbledon.
