Hey mate, how's all in Oz? No crack here, just half two in the morning. An early night these days. I'm not partying, I just can't sleep. Tomorrow will be fun.
And she's getting up to the crowd to Key Arena. Oh, my goodness. You are listening to your Australian Open tennis preview here on the Lock Betting Podcast. Be sure to follow at Lock Betting on Instagram. That is a hub for everything that I do. There you will find free play winners. You'll find betting information videos.
You'll find it is the best place to contact me if you have any questions and your questions are probably going to relate to the LockBetting.com service. This is my pay service that has delivered 151 months in a row of transparent and track profit.
And Instagram is the place where you will find all of the latest spreadsheets posted with the latest three pins to the top of the page, including the month of December, which was the 151st month in a row of transparent and track profit, a month that was good for 29 units. What does this all mean? It means I provide a service that's never had a losing month for over 12 and a half years.
It means I track all of my plays and post them publicly. My spreadsheets go to an adjudicator and then when I post the spreadsheets, they are verified by the existing members who are making this money by investing in sports rather than gambling on sports. That is what we do.
Because that's what I do.
So let's move on with the show. Let's move on with looking at the Australian Open futures, predominantly for the men's side. Now, this show is out late because this show is now being done for the second time. This show was done nice and early and it was ready to go on Friday. It was set to be released on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network.
You probably know by now there has been a major falling out. I no longer work there. It's been coming for a while. As I just mentioned when I was talking about lock betting, I'm someone who takes wins and losses seriously. I approach gambling in a completely different way. I have an investment-based approach. I actually want to make money from this.

Chapter 2: Why is Yannick Sinner favored to win the Australian Open 2026?
Yannick Sinner's quarter is considerably easier than Alcaraz's. Alcaraz is a one to six favourite in a quarter where he's up against Alexander Bublik, who on his day can beat anybody, anybody except Yannick Sinner. Because even when Bublik was playing his best, he was comprehensively destroyed by Yannick Sinner.
I mean, he's an established top two players of the world right now. He's deserved number one. He's a multiple Grand Slam champion. that's something you know, that probably few people can touch, you know, in general. So for me, he's he's unbelievable. As I said many times, you know, it's it's on the other dimension.
Yeah, Bublik has said this about Sinner, about playing against Sinner multiple times, saying he's not human. He even said to him on court, you're so good. I'm not even that bad. And yeah, he just finds a way to make great players look very ordinary. Alcaraz doesn't quite do that. And that's why this quarter looks tough. You have to play the home player. Alex Dumeneur as well.
Tommy Paul is in this section. Alexandro Davidov for Kena. Francis Tiafoe, who's given Alcaraz problems in a slam before, gave him problems at Wimbledon. So this is a much, much tougher quarter than what Sinner has to deal with. So it's 1-6 Alcaraz, 1-7 Sinner. Sinner does have to come up against Ben Shelton if Shelton continues to win.
Shelton surprised me yesterday because he took care of Ugo Umber without losing a set. Now, I expected Shelton to win that match, but to do it in straight sets was very impressive. So that's going to be a tough match for Sinner if he comes up against Shelton. But there is no competition here in the rest of the draw. Kasper Rudd, Karin Kachanoff, Sebastian Baez, there's nobody there for Sinner.
He should breeze through this quarter other than that test against Ben Shelton, which I expect him to come through. In the semifinals, Sinner is likely to come up against Novak Djokovic, whilst Carlos Alcaraz, for me, is likely to come up against Daniil Medvedev. Now, if we look at quarter two, quarter two is tied together against quarter one.
Carlos Acras, if he comes through quarter one, will play the winner of quarter two. This is where Medvedev is the favourite. Now, Medvedev was priced up at seven to four. He's now available at six to four. Alexander Zarev is at 19 to 10. Alexander Rublev is at 11 to two. Lerna Tien is at seven to one. Everyone else is bigger than 20 to one.
Lernartian is a player who has given Medvedev problems before, but I do think Medvedev is the pick here to come through this quarter. He is someone who has been to an Australian Open final before, and he was two sets up against Sinner before he completely crumbled. Now, Medvedev is coming off a pretty bad year. You have Zerev in this part of the draw.
And Zerev, for me, could be the best ever player to never win a Grand Slam. And I think it's got to the point where I just don't think Zerev's ever going to get over the line at a slam. And it's not that I feel that Medvedev is going to win another slam either. But I do feel that he is poised for a run here in this competition. He wants to bounce back from last year. He is only 29.
