So I feel like when you debate that person, win, lose, draw, no matter how the debate goes, you're still reinforcing that belief of like an in-group and an out-group.
And if I'm on the out-group and debating them, they can be like, aha, see, we told you people were going to attack you for these beliefs because they don't get it.
And here this is happening.
So in a way, I feel like by debating him, you're only reinforcing his power and hold among the members of his little group.
