But at the heart of the story is a brave and unusual decision Kate made. One that you will be thinking about long after her story finishes. I was owed Anne's life. Anne was owed her own life. But I was never going to be able to collect that debt. Episode 3 Surviving My Daughter's Killing

It was in 2010 when Kate's youngest daughter Anne was a college student that something unthinkable happened.
