Alice wouldn't allow her guard down.
So you could see when she was upset, when she was hurting.
And she would withdraw even deeper.
And so before Alice embarked on her anorexia journey, she became fixated.
There was OCD symptoms.
impulsions and these kind of things.
So we did reach out when Alice was maybe 15, 16 and we reached out, we got a really good guy to work with Alice and he was great because he worked with us also.
And one of the features that we really noticed was Alice was getting hung up
on really small things.
Like I couldn't drink from the glass unless it's washed five times.
I can't touch Dad unless it's... So we could see these features.
She was really starting to try and micro-control and micro-manage things.
And yet, her bedroom, she'll kill me for this, was in absolute and utter disarray.
And I remember saying to this doctor, I said, I just don't get it.
I mean, we're there washing a glass four times before she'll drink out of it, you know.
And the room is like a bomb site.
And he said, but is it always like that?
