Fitz studied me hard, even if other people don't.
Other people do, I said firmly.
There's a world of damn decent people out there quietly doing good stuff.
You don't see much of it in the papers, on the news, probably not on the internet.
Kindness doesn't sell, doesn't mean it isn't there.
And Fitz is like, I have a life of experience that says otherwise.
And he's like, yeah, from people who had fewer opportunities and resources and who were living on a knife sedge, basically, like the situation that you were in the place that you were in, there was going to be less of that.
And that's just sort of how that unfortunately works.
Again, and I really appreciated this because it can be so tempting to just be like, nobody is a good person.
It really, it's crazy how you can be, just like self-perpetuate whatever it is that you want to believe.
This is not to say that some things aren't exactly what they are.
But we are like mentality about things matters so much.
And it got twisted around in recent years into this like really gross.
Well, then if you feel bad, then you made yourself feel bad.
And it's your fault, which is just not what I mean.
