Today I am announcing the charges against David Anthony Burke, the musician known as David, spelled D-4-V-D, in connection with the brutal and horrific murder of Celeste, a 14-year-old at that time.

The essence of a lying in wait special circumstance that we've charged in connection with the first degree murder charge is that he invited Celeste to his Hollywood Hills home on or about April 23rd of 2025.
And he invited her ultimately with the idea that he was going to murder her.
Yes, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt in a courtroom that the first degree murder charge, which requires premeditation in order for us to meet the elements of that charge, that occurred on the night in which the individual known as David murdered Celeste.
On April 23, 2025, Celeste went to Mr. Burke's house in the Hollywood Hills.
She was never heard from again.
Her dismembered and decomposed remains were found inside of a car registered to Mr. Burke.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hockman says Ivana Lissette Ortiz faces charges of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault on a person with a semi-automatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling.
The 35-year-old from Orlando is accused of opening fire at singer Rihanna's gated home in the Beverly Hills area Sunday.
Ortiz is also accused of firing at a neighboring home with two others inside.
