Why is no one listening to my opinions, even though they're silly and uninformed? But I want to be heard. But the very first time I stepped on a stage, everyone quietened down and they started listening to me. And that was the one thing I had been craving. So for me, being an intentional speaker means taking a little bit of time to structure your thoughts, getting rid of filler words, being very mindful of who you're speaking with so that you don't use too much jargon. making sure that you're building in audience participation and engagement. All those things are intentional. They don't just happen.
