So, yeah.

um yeah man it was it was a whirlwind for for 24 hours there and and it was uh you know i'm just kind of still honestly still trying to figure out how i ended up back here but uh sure glad i am and and uh i mean walking in the dressing room easy so uh you know obviously a lot of guys know me i know them um you know coaching staff pretty much the same management the same so it was uh

It was relatively simple for me.

It was nice to be back.

Yeah, there's tons.

I mean, I think I'd be on the phone, you know, for a couple hours if I went through everything.

But long story short, I mean, you get the call.

You know, for me, it was a little bit bizarre because I'd gotten the call, I think, you know, in the afternoon on the trade deadline day, flew out the next morning, arrived that next night.

And then I actually thought we had a

um an evening game against minnesota was the first game i played in um but then i looked up the schedule and it was a noon game so no morning skate no practice fresh off the bird at like 8 9 p.m uh just with you know one luggage piece had to rush to the i actually had to drag the equipment guys into

certainly earned uh the right to to be there as long as he has and you know i think he does a great job getting the boys prepared and you know as a i mean newish player i guess coming to the team um you know you already know what to expect you already know what the coaching staff expectations are what they what they like what they don't like so you know it was easy for me to you know get a read on the room on the team and just kind of um you know fit in seamlessly

Well, I think all the younger kids or the new kids, they seem to be just all about hockey.

It's literally all they do, all they want to do.

For me as a young player, I knew I really liked the game of hockey.

Of course, I loved it and I loved being out there and playing, but

There's an off-ice component that you'd enjoy as well, but I think young kids now are just so dialed in.

Even if you're out in the playoffs in a week or the season ends, it seems like they're back on the ice in a few days.

just can't stay away from it, which I'll never understand.
