I think it's different generations too.
I don't think that my parents or their parents were so โ I mean, how many times did my dad go to one of my ballgames?
Right.
Now, you know, if I'm in town, there's no way I'm missing one of my kids' games or a dance recital or theater or whatever the case is.
Right.
So I think it's a different time.
You know, my dad was at the Elks Lodge or the Knights of Columbus on any given night and talking politics and talking stuff with the guys and have a few drinks.
You know, that's just a different time.
We owned a small mom and pop motel on Cape Cod.
That's how I grew up.
It was great.
So from the time I was a little kid till I was 24 years old before I left for Hollywood, I worked the motel every year and I loved it.
It was... It was...
One of those childhoods where we had a lake, and we had 40 rooms in the motel, and we had a little coffee shop, and it was always there.
I was always working it.
I didn't know any better.
But that created such discipline.
And if I was sitting around, my dad would make me do something immediately.
My mom would make me do something immediately.
And I think that work ethic was driven so heavily into me that I picked the dumbest career you could possibly think of to be successful at.
