And we're like, okay, this could work people where they like it.
So we raised a friends and family round, raised a little over $700,000 and then expanded the platform.
In 2015, we did over 4 million in sales.
This past year in 2016, we did a little over 6 million in sales.
So it was originally just weddings, but now we do have a number of people using us for baby registries, for house warmings, for fundraisers.
So people are using the sites for unintended uses, and we're working on opening up the platform now.
I mean, right now it's all development and then marketing.
Sorry, it cut out right there.
Oh, so that's the interesting part.
So we built that.
We did around 10 million in sales with only four people, full-time employees.
Wow.
And so we got into Techstars in mid-2016 into the summer.
We entered Techstars with four employees.
We left with seven, and now we're at 10 employees.
So we did a convertible note for friends and family round.
It just came to the point where pricing around became much easier given our numbers.
We can justify what we were doing given our gross sales and comps in the market.
And it's just an easier leverage point.
We thought we were giving a good value to our investors.
