It ebbs and flows, and it's now, it's flowing.
There's a worry, you know, we've lost two very smart people, two wonderful writers to Substack recently.
You know, and there are things that,
you have to do as a traditional media publication to make your best, most ambitious, most capitalistic writers want to stay with you.
And that is a challenge we're trying to figure out.
Back in 2021, when it was a real risk, we started our own individual newsletter program, subscriber-only newsletter program.
We brought people in from Substack
We've seen sunset of that program, but it was actually pretty successful in certain ways.
So that's that concern.
The decline in trust, in some way, it's the most important because it undergirds all of this.
It's also something where we don't have our playbook to counter the decline in trust to
do the absolute best journalism we can in the absolute best ways, fact check everything as much as we possibly can.
Right.
And you know that with, you know, no matter what you write, Trump and Musk will go out and say it's false and they'll say it to people who will believe it.
And you have to, you know, so there are very hard things to deal with.
So
Oh, and then the fourth one, AI as collaborator.
I mean, that's my favorite.
It's the most fun to talk about.
We can spend the most time there.
