And I was talking to Trey Freeman, who's our brand director, yesterday about this.
And he shared with me the three C's.
And I believe these are super important.
It is competence, character, and chemistry.
And he was provided this insight when he started hiring people from a mentor of his.
When you go into an interview and you start evaluating someone if they're right for the role, but also right for the organization, the culture,
Do they have the competency?
Do they have the skillset?
Do they have the ability?
Do they have the experience?
Do they have the resume?
Like, can they do their job and excel?
Truly, are they a specialist in the role that you were hiring them for?
Competency, essential.
Second, character.
Do their beliefs, values, goals, and purpose align with the culture and the organization?
If not, it's going to be a really hard, nearly impossible fit.
Character has to match.
It has to be there.
And chemistry.
