And I have so much respect for military leadership.
And what I learned during my short four years while in, but I learned...
from some really great leaders and I've also learned from some really bad leaders.
What to do and what not to do.
But before we dive into that, I want to ask you a question and get your perspective on it.
And I'm sure you've been asked this question before and it might seem cookie cutter, but I'm really curious your perspective based off your experience.
And it's, do you think leaders are born or built?
And why I think your perspective is interesting is because in a workplace culture, like I'm in right now with BPN, we can give people the time to develop as leaders.
Because there is risk, but the risk is not lives.
You are operating in an environment where
The risk of keeping a subpar leader in place and allowing them to develop on your time is the risk of lives in combat in theater.
Yeah, it can be.
So do you think that true leaders are born or built, maybe a combination of two, but at the core are the best leaders?
Do they have it in their blood?
Is it in their DNA?
Sometimes you just need that, that small confidence booster.
To allow you to realize, oh, I got potential.
That's right.
As I was thinking about, as you were speaking, leaders who are born versus built.
If I think of all the leaders that I've ever come across, even in this business, who I believe are natural, have natural born leadership abilities, it is that effort that you're talking about.
