And it's worth pointing out that Ireland's presidency of the European Union in the final six months of this year may align with that consideration.
Correct.
Yeah, there's quite a wide degree of latitude given to member states as to what supports they give.
But our reading of the directive is I think it's the phrase appropriate accommodation or sufficient accommodation is given to beneficiaries of temporary protection.
So
Sure, there is a latitude and we can see that playing out across the European Union.
Different member states are doing different things.
But the bottom line is there's still an obligation to provide support, including some type of accommodation.
And that goes back...
The point of us being quite concerned, very concerned with the other end of this problem, which is when people have recently arrived from Ukraine today who are only given 30 days of accommodation.
Our call on government would be to consult with civil society and Ukrainian people about these proposals.
The Ukrainian Civil Society Forum has been very active over the last four years.
We would like to engage with government on these proposals to feedback on them.
And then fundamentally that they are led by an analysis of the situation in Ukraine, which is still very dire.
And then thirdly, sure, prepare for a post-temporary protection situation that could be voluntary considerations, but also preparing for a transitionary status if required.
And then also, I think I would be really concerned about the idea of winding down completely the accommodation rate recognition payment, because I think that's a crucial and perhaps the only safeguard from people from Ukraine falling into destitution or homelessness.
