But there are times where we see very clearly that he is really just a young teenage boy who's dealing with two parents who are deeply depressed.

Nobody knows whether he's working for the Americans, whether he's alive or whether he's dead.
And he has, Momo has a dog called Mutt, who is really the philosopher of the novel.
And he is one of the three narrators of the novel.
This is really what goes on inside a dog's head.
I know.
He is funny as well.
Mutt is very funny.
A lot of his observations are very witty, especially his observations about humans.
