Monogamy is less about love and more about ownership.

I actually think most people would be non-monogamous if we were raised to be that way.

But we're all so scared of losing our partners or being abandoned that we do anything we can to prevent that from happening.

Monogamy isn't, I don't want anyone else.

It's, I can't tolerate the idea of you wanting anyone else.

And I think if people were more secure in themselves and their relationships, way more people would naturally opt for out of monogamy than we'd like to admit.
