We were building trust, independence, and community.
Our instructors are more than trainers.
They are role models, mentors, and advocates for women's mobility.
Many have become community leaders, spreading awareness and recruiting new users.
And internally, we look for adaptability, resilience and ownership.
Startups are unpredictable and culture change is slow.
You need people who are passionate about the mission and flexible enough to solve problems creatively.
So from day one, we designed Doocy to be scalable.
But the reality on the ground, we required constant adaptation.
Like cultural change doesn't scale like code.
Trust doesn't scale like infrastructure.
Every city, every neighborhood had unique dynamics, fears and norms.
So we built flexible systems and processes that could adapt while still maintaining a consistency and safety and service quality.
Eventually, once we mastered scaling trust alongside technology, growth became more organic and sustainable.
So I'm most proud of the real-life transformations, seeing women go to work alone for the first time and instructors achieving financial independence, or simply witnessing a woman confidently ride a scooter on Cairo Street.
And these moments are unforgettable for me.
I'm also proud of building a culture where mistakes are accepted, learning is embraced, and mission comes first.
These intangible wins, empowerment, independence, and trust are the reason we do this work.
Actually, I've made a lot of mistakes.
Early on, when we started, we assumed education alone would be enough to drive adoption.
