because it's the first person who understands you and you feel that maybe they understand you more than your parents, more than anybody.

So I had individuals who I felt understood me, but as a whole, the feeling of being misunderstood has been like a consistent thing in my life.

And I think that

When I was younger, it made me mad and I like bucked against it in every way.

And I think as you get older, you're a little bit more forgiving of it.

It's like a little bit,

I don't know.

I think the wisdom you gain is really that you know nothing, right?

You're like, oh, I don't know anything.

I'm much more kind of open and humble and empathetic with age every year.

It's just like, oh, maybe I'm wrong is actually a great bit of wisdom.

And then as your roots get deeper, then I guess like to continue with this metaphor, like a tree, when the storm hits you, it's not as destabilizing.

You're like, okay, but I know my roots.
