So first of all, I'd like to share that SouthCom has been building partnerships in this region now for close to 60 years.

And if you were to look at our mission statement, two things that really stand out, rapidly responding to crises and then building partner capacity, regional capacity.

So how do we do that?

We do it through security cooperation.

Security cooperation is a way that we engage with our partners by and large.

Now, how do we do that?

It goes back to the fact of foreign military sales, foreign military financing, security assistance, funding as well.

And so by doing that, we're able to engage and build partner capacity.
