It'll be why there are Facebook groups you can join for free and you can learn from them.
It's because there is actually safety in numbers and it's actually an opportunity for you to learn.
So there's countless groups.
We've actually done an episode on FIRE.
Kate included probably 20 references to different blogs that you can go and look up yourself.
One thing Kate also talked about is goal setting.
Now I'm a bit, I guess I go against the grain a bit here.
I've never really achieved a financial goal.
I'm gonna be real.
They are motivating, I'll give you that, but I've never really achieved one.
I've found when I've studied successful people, what they have in common is they have these habits
and they're typically lifestyle habits that inform their budget.
So I can give you a budget, and in fact I've done that if you'd go into the show notes, and we've given you one at 50, 30, 20, but the problem that people have is they try and rearrange their life to fit their budget, when really we should be rearranging what's important to us, and then the budget will follow suit.
And so I don't tend to think about goals because they're easily broken.
And one reason that they're broken, and I'm sorry for everyone down the back here, but I've drawn the distinction between goals and habits.
Think of habits as mini goals, so goals that you might achieve every 24 hours, every two days, once a week.
Habits compound.
viciously over a long period of time.
And they're far harder to break.
Let me give you an example of what a habit might be.
