But it feels similar.
I have a dog that's deaf.
Congrats, I love deaf dogs.
He's the best dog ever.
I honestly, he truly is a crowd favorite.
Everyone loves him and he gets along with everyone and every dog.
He's the sweetest, but I adopted him.
When I did adopt him, his previous owner, when I was fostering him, he was like, oh, he also might be deaf.
And I was like, might be because that was not in the profile.
And then he was like, well, I haven't really gotten him checked because he's like, I just know he used to live in a place where like on 4th of July, there was like a ton of fireworks.
And he said he slept through the entire thing.
And he was like, and it's really loud in my apartment.
So I just kind of assumed because there were certain times I would try to call him and if he can't see me, he doesn't react.
But he's like, I took him to the vet.
And then the test itself is like $400 or something just to test him.
And so the vet was like, I mean, it's really just a yes or a no.
So it's kind of just up to you if you really want to know.
But it's not affecting his quality of life at all.
So it's kind of just up to you.
And that's how I feel about that test with autism.
