I got one listen. I started last night and listened to the first 13. I ended up with the Pharrell and Playboi Carti record. And then listen to the second half this morning. The first half to me is absolutely incredible. It's a synth masterpiece for my synth nerds out there. Mike Dean went absolutely crazy. Mike Dean and Metro Woman also should just produce everything.

The second half to me, I don't know, it kind of dragged, but I also listened to it in the morning. It's not the same. I listened to the first half on edibles at midnight. That's a little bit perfect.

And I like Weeknd's development in terms of melody writing. They seemed a lot more interesting, and I don't know if that's a result of being in the studio with Mike Dean, who's a fucking super musical fucking, he's creating all these melodies on the keyboard, so maybe they're bouncing off each other.

But for a while, I feel like Weeknd got into a flow that was like that rap R&B flow where you're just doing a simple-ass melody. Repetitive. Super repetitive. And this is not that. I'm looking forward to really living with this.
