He's intelligent.
Extremely intelligent.
Yeah.
Well, we know he got back out of prison in 2007 and he was actually doorstepped by a journalist after he got out of prison.
And basically he told this journalist that he wasn't a danger to anybody anymore, that he had given up alcohol, that he had grown up
with ADHD.
Now, he didn't say whether that had been treated or not, but that he had ADHD and that he had come from a broken home.
Now, all those things, it would appear, are very much true, except for the fact that he wasn't a danger to women anymore, because he certainly was.
And then the next thing we really know about Patrick Nevin is when he again came to the attention of Gertie for attacking women.
And this coincided with him going on tender in 2014.
And look, I suppose, looking back at it now,
These dating apps were in their infancy at the time.
So, you know, people may not have been as familiar with the danger of these things then as they would be now and the risk that it puts them at.
Certainly the women that went on the Tinder app didn't expect to come across somebody like Patrick Nevin.
Yeah.
Well, certainly what we know is that when he went on Tinder, it gave him access to women on a scale that he wouldn't have had previously.
We know that when the Gardie arrested him over the sexual assault and rape of the three women in the 11 days in July 2014, after he was questioned in connection with that, he told the Gardie that he had matched with thousands of women on Tinder.
He had liked their profile picture and they had liked his.
He said that he had brought various different girls down to UCD campus and had taken them there on multiple times.
And he told Gurdit that he took it if he was meeting these women that he had matched with on Tinder, that he was meeting them for sex.
