I mean, there's...
operational components to it, but there's a real cultural and capability component to it.
Part of it is how throughout the organization, not just at the level of the CEO, but down to frontline managers, how do we really understand
the mission?
How do we understand the mission in terms of the triple aim, affordability, quality, access, equity, et cetera?
How do we all understand that?
How are we also making sure our organizations understand how is it that we deliver that in our organization?
What are the processes we have?
It's that baseline understanding of what is the system we operate in to meet our goal of the triple aim?
You build on that then with this kind of continuous improvement mindset, this bias to action, having decision-making processes that are both clear and rapid so that those folks who see the opportunity for improvement every day have a pathway to actually go do that.
And how do you bake that kind of into the everyday way that you operate so that the folks on the front line, I mean, frankly, like they did in COVID, when they see an opportunity,
They've got both excitement to do something about an opportunity, but also the ability to act on it.
They're empowered to do that.
Look, I think our experience is, look, this is obviously a bit of art and science, but we would emphasize a bit of the science part.
It is possible, and it is very possible, to measure the elements of a culture, understand where there's disconnects from the level of agility we need to have, the confidence and excitement about the mission, and how do you get quite
analytical about where is it that we need to have actual cultural change and be very focused about how we set the tone from the top, how we have reinforcement mechanisms in the organization to get that culture change that we want.
Look, as an industry, we have both the privilege and responsibility of having
you know, a great overall objective to improve, you know, the lives and the health of citizens in the country.
And look, got to build our cultures around that.
Relative to some other industries, you know, we've got a more inspirational opportunity when we build that culture.
