How do we think about meeting the patients where they are?
The convenience factor for the US consumer is a big deal in many, many industries.
And so how do we meet that engaged, informed patient where they are, whether that be in a traditional inpatient setting, an outpatient setting, a home setting, or virtual?
How do we have that kind of real multi-channel experience?
And again, through all of that, how do we think about an efficient patient pathway that is lower cost and affordable?
Well, within that last 10 to 15 years, we obviously have the COVID period.
It was a terrible experience for the country and for the world.
But at the same time, you look at the nimbleness that was shown, the innovation in care pathways that, I mean, we're changing on a weekly basis, right, in the front line in these hospitals.
You look at the innovation that happened in vaccines and in med device, just speeds of innovation and change that we hadn't seen in the prior decade.
It's within all of us to make that change.
I think as we look forward over the next 10 to 15 years, we talked a little bit about AI and technology.
That will be a disruptor at some level.
Regulatory change is always a potential thing that comes at us.
I think the question for us as an industry is, how do we inject that right level of resilience and innovation
as a constant within our organizations.
How are we always thinking about how we can be more nimble, how we can continuously improve what we're doing, how we can react to what's immediately in front of us, but also be thinking about how we make moves to improve health care over the long term.
It's this, how do we as an organization continue to deal with the immediate changes in front of us,
but also be planning on how do we make healthcare better across access, affordability, quality, patient experience, all the things we talked about, because those things take time to change.
And so we've got to have an organization that can do both of those things.
Yeah.
