Yeah, I mean, I was different to most people because I had more money than them because not only did I have a student loan like everybody else, a generous mum and dad, I was also being paid to play cricket.
No, I was contracted by Northamptonshire at the time.
So I was able to kind of combine the two.
So I was playing counter cricket, but doing my studies in the winter, basically.
And they were paying me a salary.
And so I had sort of disposable income that other people wouldn't have done.
And again, as far as I was concerned, I was like, well, I can still afford to do what everybody else can do and more, even if I'm losing some money gambling.
So there's no problem.
But obviously, two years later, when my cricket career came to an end, I had nothing to show for it financially because it had all been spent gambling.
And that was definitely my mindset.
And I always kind of thought I was invincible and that if I needed money, someone would wave a magic wand and give me more.
And that is something that I look back on.
I mean, I think looking back on my upbringing, I was very fortunate in background education.
