The real way it works is you just simply have to be out there.
You have to have an authentic message.
You have to be able to tell that story and you have to enjoy doing it because you're going to be doing a lot of it.
So that's why I have my day job.
So I have my firm.
I sit on some boards of companies.
I advise the World Bank.
I have other clients.
And that covers cost of life in New York City.
But what I realized when I was doing that, and I think a lot of people these days, in a way, it's like freelancing, I guess.
And freelancing is great in terms of flexibility, but you build zero wealth.
And that's why I came up with this idea, because I had been at a venture capital firm.
I had been in a private equity firm and I knew what it was like to build, you know, carry in the funds and things like that.
So I thought, how can I do this myself?
How can I kind of combine freelancers?
balancing with entrepreneurship to do things to create wealth in the long run.
And so it's been a very effective way to do that with the understanding that what you correctly said is these are not overnight things, right?
The average startup goes from series A to exit in seven years.
So you have to build this long-term portfolio.
You can also, I invest in real estate as well, which gives me dividends and things like that.
