My issue is
The integrity of the game deserves transparency.
Now, I know this is Ashley Klein's business, okay, and people can argue that, but the fact also is when you choose to make your living in what is essentially a public space,
such as Rugby League, you're just open for that.
You're just open for that inspection from the wider audience.
It's not like an accountant working in some little anonymous office who has been misappropriating funds and it's nobody else's business.
The other part to it is this innocent until proven guilty.
Now, he's entitled to that, absolutely entitled to that.
Where it gets cloudy again, though, is it is a public game, and it needs public faith.
And you need people's faith in the game, that the game is handling it responsibly and honestly.
And with the NRL basically putting the shutters up and refusing to really divulge any details about it,
Now, I think that the whole investigation should be made transparent.
I think it should be actually published what the findings were.
Obviously, there would be parts of that that they can redact and black out, okay?
But essentially, the NRL needs to show everybody how they investigated, how deeply they investigated, and why they came up with the decision they did.
Because at the moment, there's a real ugly smell around
