Very special.
So, yeah, I try not to tell people.
when I'm going to a new event.
But when I get there, then I go and introduce myself to the team and so on.
I bet it blows their mind, doesn't it?
Like, what?
I mean, it's no different to you.
I think you start to appreciate that in every event,
events around the world there's somebody who wants to do some good for their community for their the people around them and and it's a replication of kind of what i did when i started and and so you know i stand on their shoulders they are the ones holding me up and it's just it's quite it's quite great they see me as as a
I don't know, a bit of a celebrity, but it's quite the opposite.
They are the celebrities, their communities, and they are making their community better because of the work that they're doing.
Well, we'll be 20 years old this year in October.
So for the first two years, we just had one event.
I wasn't interested in a second event.
My friends kept asking me to do that.
And the people who turned up became less runnery.
They became more normal, more natural.
The requests that I got were from families, from fathers, from children who were saying, this is fantastic and you need to do more.
So the pressure was on me.
In January of 2007, I started the second one, which meant that I had to rewrite the software to cope with multiple registrations for multiple events, all happening at the same time, everybody sharing the same registration pool.
