um our concern isn't like hey okay we we lost 96 games last year we won 66 games like okay let's uh let's go out and win 88 games this year like i don't think it makes a ton of sense to put a ton of pressure on ourselves like we got to get to this win total in this year uh right now i think uh if we just uh first of all just set a culture that we're proud of and and uh
hold ourselves to that standard.
I think that's step one, right?
But then two, I think if we start going about things the right way as it relates to the development of our players, acquiring the right players, having like the, the, uh,
our long-term strategy uh aligned across all our groups uh there will be incremental progress that at you know no point in time are we going to say in the next like two years like boom that was the moment where we really like did it right but the hope is that we look up one two three four five years down the line we're like man we're getting better and better and better and um
kind of a weird way to say it, but like more organizationally healthy, like with every passing three months, six months, nine months, a year.
And then the goal is we look up at the end of however many years and we're like, okay, this is a really healthy organization that has a chance to win for a long period of time.
Uh, so my, I'm going to have to, to, uh, unpack this a little bit after I give you the response.
Uh, my, my answer is, uh, yes, but, uh, you know, like I, when I hear that, I'm thinking like, Hey, are you going to be active on waivers and, and, you know, and minor league free agency and that type thing, my guess is that's not what you're getting at.
Right.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
Uh,
Yeah.
So, yeah, my guess is you're talking about kind of the bigger names that are in the media at the time.
You know, I'll just say it.
And I had this conversation with McKenzie a few weeks back.
Like, yeah, is there a chance that McKenzie gets traded?
Like, yeah.
