But I think at the end of the day, the exposure and the experience is going to help this group a lot.
Yeah, I mean, I think the first thing for me with Bregge is, I mean, it's amazing what he did.
You talk about cutting the timeline down of his injury.
I can't remember what it was forecasted at or projected at, but, like, to cut it down to the 12 weeks or so that he missed, and then also to come back, no rehab assignment, and just hop into big league games and start competing, I mean...
you think about like how hard that is to do, you know, we've seen other players, you know, go through injuries, you spend time on the aisle, then you come back and the acclimation period, like the fact that he was able to jump into games and, and, and, you know, compete and put together really good at bat speaks a lot about him and his preparedness and what it means to be a part of our group.
Like I couldn't be, it was amazing to watch him do that.
And then I think a lot of it is just trying to catch a, catch a rhythm.
And one thing in hit one thing in hitting is,
you know, when you're feeling good, there's this tendency to kind of continue to roll days.
And then when sometimes there's struggle, there's, it kind of rolls in the opposite direction where you feel like you constantly have to refine or find the thing that is missing.
Um, and I think that's where the challenges are, you know, when, before he got hurt, he was on a roll for two and a half months, you know, he was unconscious.
And, um, although he, you know, didn't finish the year, like he started the year, um,
I think having Alex pregnant in the lineup always made us a better team and more dangerous.
So, um, I'm just, I can't, I guess that I was more kind of astonished that he was able to get back in the timeline he did and, and be prepared and jumping right into major league games.
But, um, yeah.
Well, to your point, I've been here for six years and had experience.
And I remember when Tim Hires hired me in the fall of 2019, that was one of the questions he asked me.
How would I navigate that part of the experience?
And I think that it all starts with...
You have to build strong relationships with your players, first and foremost.
