But they were able to also add on drafts to free agents after the draft.
I think in that, you know, that top pick, they feel like they got what is the best defensive back, the best cornerback in the draft in Manchur.
It's rough that it took two picks to get it done, but they feel really good about that player, and now we'll see if he can turn into that Pro Bowl or All-Pro ceiling that they're probably seeking.
I think what they're telling you there is we believe this is a one-for-one replacement for Trent McDuffie.
I mean, that is essentially what they're saying to you, I think, because, yeah, I mean, the charts...
dictate that it was okay.
I mean, you know, not ideal to surrender two picks, but the value was okay.
But they just really felt like they couldn't leave round one without having this player in a Chiefs uniform.
And, you know, so much of this is going to be hindsight where is he a bust?
Is he a player that ends up being what they regarded him as?
And that'll tell you like, okay, it was worth the trade.
It's also from an intel standpoint, I'm not sure we'll ever really know, but
obviously they were scared perhaps about some team ahead of them going up and getting the lane and they really needed that position.
I think what stood out to me, like as I thought about the night one and having the lane be that pick, I did write articles, you know, leading into the off season and the draft.
And very clearly to me, quarterback was the weakest position.

a cornerback with the top pick, but the writing was on the wall and they addressed it.
And when you lose a player like Trent McDuffie, who essentially erased one side of the field, that's going to be a lot to miss.
