They immediately sign Ken Walker.
Andy Reid's not going to go to the podium and say, Isaiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt weren't good enough.
But he's telling you that when they decide to sign a running back like that for a lucrative deal.
Andy Reid's not going to say Conor Embry wasn't good enough.
But when he makes that change as far as bringing O'Shea into the mix, you see that there might have been some dissatisfaction there.
I think he can even say, and he would certainly never say this, but maybe in some regard, Matt Nagy.
And maybe it was more mutual in that situation because I think Nagy wants to be head coach once again, and it's tough to do.
We've seen recently in recent seasons under the Andy Reid shadow.
Some of that accountability factor, that in-your-face, get-it-together, I don't care if you're a 30-year-old, three-time, six-time All-Pro like Travis Kelsey, like we've seen in the past, like he'll get in your face if he feels like you're not giving maximum effort.
And so, yeah, I think when you look at the moves, the roster moves, the coaching changes that the Chiefs have made, it tells you how they feel about maybe how the offensive โ
scheme and game plan worked last year.
I mean, I think the biggest thing that sort of annoyed me early in the offseason, and I understand it, you know, to an extent, you know, fans were very, very disappointed with how the season went.
But it was just this idea that Andy Reid couldn't reinvent himself and understand that he needed to make the changes and could do it without bringing in an offensive coordinator that calls plays or someone outside the box.
Several iterations of the Chiefs with Andy Reid, you know, in terms of reinventing Alex Smith and really introducing RPO.
Everything that he did with Mahomes when Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins were here with that high-passing downfield offense.
When that wasn't working, he was able to adjust and maybe attack the intermediate.
It wasn't as exciting, but the Chiefs still won championships.
He understood that something needed to change.
