You find that sometimes it's a little bit more difficult when you've had the toughest of years.
And those exit interviews can be tough because there's got to be some honesty, whether the team's done well or the team hasn't done well.
Let's say it hasn't done well.
Players maybe weren't at their best, and so there's always some tough exits as well.
I think it depends, and it changes.
It moves based on the year, based on the player, based on the season.
I've always been just a believer of honesty.
I don't know if that always takes me down the right path, but at least you're going to get it honest out of my mouth on what I thought or what I saw happening.
you know, from the season and from the player, from the team.
And I think they want that.
I think they want honesty.
This guy's into it, man.
Oh, it might have been.
Yeah, could have been.
Yeah.
Listen, I wouldn't want to do that job.
I mean, especially in the playoffs where everything means so much.
You know, every call, a call late in the third period in a 2-2 game, a call to start the game right off the bat within the first two minutes, a call that comes in.
And all of a sudden there's a power play goal and you get a 1-0 lead in your home building and the building's ready to, you know, pick up and move three feet because the fans go so crazy in there, you know.
So I think it's a ridiculously tough job.
