The little bit I get to see, I am, yeah.

Albeit, in the office sweepstakes, I was lucky to get Brazil and Morocco.

So the Peter O'Doar derby was on last week, but unfortunately it was not a fantastic match, I thought, despite them being two good teams.

It's the little bits we get to see.

Yeah, so obviously the COVID time is when he came to greatest prominence, I think, and that's what most people would know him for.

I think that's where the majority of my knowledge of Paul, I would have known a little bit of him previously.

He's kind of a troubleshooter, isn't he?

And I think especially having...

seen to be a steady hand at the tiller during that period.

I think even more so he's regarded now as... There's a little cohort of people in Ireland, and I mean this in a good sense, who, when there's a crisis, where there's an issue to be plugged, where there's reform needed,

you can you can almost make your shortlist and i think fix it or in a way like yeah he's very much part of that so like troubleshooter would be a word i kind of use for him uh i think he says it about himself but i would have to agree like he's calm isn't he like he's he's very measured i i'm kind of interested to know and maybe you from your coverage of him like he must have a sharp edge to him to have done the jobs that he's done to have done the negotiations of you as you have outlined

That's not a side that you see of him.

He's kind of... He's softly spoken.

He's almost gentle in his presentation.

But I don't think you can be that gentle behind the scenes.

There are some people for whom it's obvious with their public persona and Robert Watt is an example.

He likes to present himself as what I think he is in private of this kind of tough nut.

I think Paul probably fits into the same category behind the scenes but presents very differently publicly.

And he was open about that during COVID as well.

I remember him talking about that amidst the crisis where maybe some pure people might advise him, you know, don't kind of give us your, you know, people are in a worse position.
