This is the Planet Rygate podcast. Thank you so much indeed for all your messages of support. And it's been really overwhelming over the last few weeks when we've been running that series about Bancroft Road and about the pool and the picture palace. In other words, the Lido and the cinema that were originally built on Bancroft Road by the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Bancroft, back in the 30s, 40s.

It's been a really interesting story to tell over our Christmas and New Year periods. So if you want to scroll back and see those and play those, we've had a really big response as well to our coverage. And I got this message from Anne who says, thank you for including the history episodes in the Planet Reigate podcast. Me and Dad are looking forward to listening to more of them.

Dad's particularly interested in the story about the Reigate Hill plane crash, which I know you featured. And also, Anne has passed on some cuttings about some other stories that she thinks I might be interested in as well about some local history. So we're going to be looking at doing a bit more on that as well. Won't give too much information away.

We'll keep our powder dry on those particular stories. But yeah, if you're interested in that story about the Reigate Hill plane crash, then go to episodes 25, 26 and 27, where we actually heard from Tadworth-based military historian Tim Richardson, who told us that full story, as I say, episode 25, 26, 27 of the wartime plane crash on Reigate Hill, what happened there. and what is left there.

You may have seen the memorial, which is there to this day. Also, thank you very much indeed to some other people who've got in touch. Rory Purcell bought me a coffee. Rory says, thank you for your podcast on Reigate. I lived in Reigate for all of my childhood and into the 20s, or into my 20s, I should say, before moving overseas. Nostalgic and interesting to stay informed.

Yeah, so if you go to buymeacoffee.com slash theplanetreigatepodcast, you can buy me a virtual coffee. It's a kind of tip jar, if you like. It's a bit like Patreon, which you may have heard about before. In other words, you can just drop me via your Apple Pay or whatever it happens to be set up on your phone. A couple of three pounds just to help me kind of continue with the Planet Rugged podcast.

It isn't my main job. It's a sideline. It doesn't make any money. I'm pleased to do it. But if you want to bung a few quid my way so I can buy myself a frothy coffee once in a while. and help pay the expenses for running the podcast. That would be really appreciated. I'm Peter Stewart. So we have got all sorts of things coming up.

We've got the return of Priory Bark, which we did run for a little while last year, middle of last year, a few times. And we've got it running again now.
