First of all, let me tell you about a local rail route which is closing for 16 days so critical upgrades can be carried out. So, date for your diary. That's the dates we've got at the moment, subject to change as always because of the weather, of course. Now, during the closures, engineers will be laying new wheel timbers. Now, I've looked into this. Wheel timbers are the blocks that carry tracks over bridges. And so they've got to lay some new ones down on the railway bridge over the River Way, which is south of Guildford.

So they're going to last 30 years longer than the old wooden ones. And that will mean fewer closures are needed in the future, they say. So during the closure, Network Rail is responsible for all of that. They're going to be doing some other work as well.

So while they've got the track closed, they're going to be doing things like modernising the signalling in the area, putting in some new level crossings, that kind of thing as well. and all four crossings will have new signalling installed. Double-lane barriers will replace the existing single-lane barriers, and that cuts the chance of vehicles crossing the track when the barriers are down.

So going back to the closure itself, buses will replace Great Western Railway train services between Redhill and Guildford. It will stop at all stations, and another bus service will run directly to Gatwick Airport. Southern and Thameslink trains to and from London...

Now, news there are more similar plans in the pipeline for another nearby building. So this is an unusual one. Bear with me. It's an office building on London Road. It's near the Castle Grounds. And currently, you may know it, it's got Jellyfish in there, the company Jellyfish.
