First, I got a yellow card for saying that this is not a yellow card, that every time we have meetings with the referees prior to the season, and every time this comes to this point where the player is too close to the ball, he has no chance to react, he has his hands by his side, there will never be a penalty, the referee gives this.
two minutes to go, that's why I asked him why he changed his opinion to give the penalty when every time we have this meeting where it's clear that they are saying this is not a pen.
And that got booked as well, so I think this is the most disappointing, because he could have told me, whatever, come later or something like that, he just walked away, gave me a look, I was not rude, I just asked a question, and I think this disappoints me even more.
Have you ever been this angry after a decision?
No, I'm disappointed.
First, the penalty situation, and then obviously second, I expect when I walk towards the referee with respect and ask him a question, I would as well like that he answers to me in a normal way, not give me a look out and say nothing.
Thanks so much for your time.
You're welcome.
Is it not clever?
Well, we are disappointed because we lost the game at home, we were ready to compete, we wanted to take advantage playing at home, but unfortunately the decisive moment came quite early in the game and Chelsea took the advantage of that.
I thought from there they tried to control the game, obviously playing 11 against 10 in more than 70 minutes is always a big advantage, but I thought that we came back, even down to 10 men, we came back very strongly in the second half.
It was an even game where we could have scored the equaliser, but we were missing a little bit of the last touch.
inside and around the box, because there were always moments where we almost got there, but we didn't find a real opportunity to put it back in the net.
No, the referee was very close, they had a clear view of the situation and they decided straight away to give a red card.
There was no hesitation from anyone, we just had to deal with the fact that you just go on and you have to... You can't change the decision anyway and protesting three minutes brings you to nothing.
So we had to regroup, we had to make sure that we reorganised,
and tried to wait to continue down to ten men, unfortunately we conceded too early after the sending off.
Well, I think the effort for 70 minutes, I thought we were brilliant in terms of the team effort and organisation, and as I said, we were not far from getting something out of the game, and you play against the champions down to ten men for such a long time,
I thought if we continue with this attitude, we are only three points off the lead, and obviously we have the Leicester game at home coming, Southampton as well, difficult games, but if we keep winning our games then obviously we can go back to the top.
