I've been 48.
I was all those ages.
What in heaven's name would I spend all my time, energy and resource trying to get back to what I've already lived when my life is here now and hopefully tomorrow?
you just lose you know so why so why do it why do it but we understand the don't you understand the temptation like you get rewarded for looking young oh you haven't changed a bit I'm like pretty much pretty sure I've changed or just even the difficulty of the emphasis of so much of our lives being on how as women we look that's tough and you're in an industry where you're acting it is about how you look
and act how you appear viscerally on screen.
So the temptation in your sector is way higher than some others.
Well, I think there's always been a grit about you, a raw reality where you're like, this is me, so like it or lump it.
But really interesting that you used the word creature there.
I never was that creature.
Because there's something unearthly about where we put some stars, whether they're singers or actors or artists, they become like this otherworldly object and we require them almost not to be human.
And I'm very interested in being human.
It feels like the only option to me that's sustainable.
Mm-hmm.
And men aren't immune.
I think there are, you know, I think there are men just being kind of absorbed into that space and it's so compelling.
It's almost like as a viewer you consume them.
Anyway, that's a little bit of a sidetrack from โ Yeah.
I know that you've made decisions to be and show up as yourself and you say because you weren't sort of the princess and the leading lady look that was made easier for you.
You have, however, made decisions to have characters show up in terms of the women in the roles that you play.
You know, I heard you say that 20-year-olds were being, you know, 30-year-olds were being played by 20-year-olds and 40-year-olds were being played by 30-year-olds.
