There is always pressure to achieve.
But at the end of the day, it's a game.
And it's a part of life.
It's a great learning experience in life.
I cased a lot of blokes who still write to me 30 years later about the lessons they learned in being in a professional football program.
We take that responsibility very seriously.
A lot of the things they get from being in professional football make them better citizens, better fathers, better husbands, better workers, and that's what we want to achieve.
That's how we want to do it.
Um, I was at, I was at the roosters when we started it back in 2002.
So I was the coaching director there and they decided to make the Anzac day thing, a thing between the dragons and roosters and hopefully make it an annual event, which has been going ever since.
So Anzac day, um, first start Anzac day game started back in 1927.
That was the first ever game on an Anzac day.
And they're pretty much played on Anzac day ever since.
There was always a game on Anzac day.
I can remember dad taking us to the cricket ground.
to see the Anzac Day games.
In fact, in history, more games have been played on Anzac Day than any other day of the year.
It's been a real part of rugby league's part of that important day on our national calendar.
