We're going back 30 years, but one hundred and seventy million pounds worth of drugs had come in between 1994 and 96 through this one gang alone.
So that's an awful lot of money, an awful lot of wealth, a lot of criminal cash.
Cab started going after that from day one, from 1996.
And it has continued ever since.
I looked at the most recent figures because the figures really tell the story, David, for 2024.
CAB had its, you might call it, its most busy and successful year chasing the criminal cash.
They gave back over โฌ17 million in 2024 to the Exchequer.

open drug dealing as well.
And this is the kind of thing that Veronica would have been exposing in her time.

John Donne was a man down in Cork who was being paid ยฃ1,000 a time to facilitate drugs coming in from Holland.
So he was at one level.
Russell Warren was a money man.
He was somebody who laundered the cash.
He counted the cash and disseminated the monies as well.
And then Charles Bowden was another level.
