Yeah.
Because we've got more autonomy than we believe.
And what it's about, sort of journaling and things like that, what it's about is to become more self-aware.
Because when we become more self-aware, we then got choices.
I've got a choice whether I do rounding circles, panic thinking, or whether I come to my senses and notice what I can see, hear, smell, touch.
And coming into your senses, if you say do that practice for like quarter of an hour, just what can I smell?
It's quite fun to do it now.
What can I smell?
What can I hear?
Oh, I think I can hear a buzzing sound.
You know, it's very calming and it shows you do have a choice about what you fill your head with.
The phone, unfortunately, is a source of dopamine.
Now, that gives you a sort of little thrill.
Yeah.
But it's not the right sort of thrill.
The right sort of thrill is the thrill I'm having now because I'm having a conversation with you.
It's a contact thrill.
And in the olden days when we were a bit bored, we used to talk to the person next to us on the train or the bus.
Yeah.
But now we're always on our phones because that's not a risk.
