It's not a red card.
I've said so many times Michael Murphy is either a genius at tackling or he's a terrible tackler you know I've said in columns he's like an octopus when he comes out you're transitioning up the pitch and he just fouls you and it slows you down transition wise or he's just a very bad tackler and yeah I think you know you just it's one of those things that
I just think there's, the more and more I see the small amount of games he underperforms in, which is very few, it's based around having players around him, not really a man marker.
Of course he has a man marker on him, but if you also watch how they get bodies, like a backup defense around him,
it completely minimises the ball going into him, but also when he's on the ball, he's not doing any damage.
And the only real slip-up Donegal had yesterday was I think McManaman was on him for the goal, which is very similar to the score he got last year with Paddy Clifford basically passing the ball, he cuts over towards the Cusack side, then double backs and McColl slips.
Same thing happened.
He goes out towards the Cusack, turns back in, cuts inside McManaman and gets a goal.
Bar that, Donegal was switched on with him for the whole game.
But again, how much of it do you put down to the supply coming into him?
How much ball was he on?
And how many bodies were around him?
So it's very difficult.
That's the calibre of player he is.
You'll never, not for a while anyway, will you be able to say there was a man that marked him and that was it, like it was years ago.
You don't get that now.
But that transition was so slow for Kerry that they didn't get the opportunity to have the space inside.
But the one thing I compared to the All-Ireland final last year was their variation of scores.
You have White coming in off the side line, even Clifford in the second half coming in off the Hogan side, cutting in for a score.
And then you had a lot of their two-pointers or big scores coming down the middle of the pitch.
