at the everyday causes do you look at the human race differently now from when you were a police officer do you think you try not to but sometimes you do like you you can't help but sometimes your empathy goes not in an awful way and i'll not speak for all officers
or me, you go to a call and you're like, previously before I went to the job, you'd have such like, oh my God, this is such a sad situation.
This is so upsetting.
But in my head, I'd be like, well, you've got to be professional as much as you can here.
You can't show yourself if you're upset because you're not going to work on anything.
So you've just got to be professional.
And then on the part of the edge, you're sitting there thinking, we've got to go to another call now.
So you sort of sit there and decide.
So you might go to someone and you're like, you know,
dealing with like a victim's family and you've got to be as empathetic and you're talking to them and you're sympathizing, but you sit there and go like, you know, four years in, this is not impacting me nearly as much as you think like beforehand.
A lot of officers would just agree.
Honestly, this is just, so it's very much like, um, it, this is going to sound, it depends how they passed.
You know, that's a hard one.
Is it a surprise?
Is it like slightly expecting it potentially if they're like an elderly relative, you know, when it was COVID and we had an elderly relative, it was like situation.
I've been to ones where the relatives are in the house.
But yeah, going to deliver the message.
But I tell you what, sometimes it does not go the way you think.
