But thankfully, after these connections were quickly made, they were relieved to know that the person most likely responsible was in their custody.

Now, at that time, Leslie Layton had already been charged with conspiring to pervert justice and denying the lawful and decent burial for helping Joanna dump John and Kevin's bodies.

After the other three were apprehended, Stretch was charged with encouraging or assisting in the commission of indictable offenses, conspiracy to prevent the decent burial of Kevin Lee, John Chapman, and Wukash, as well as two charges of attempted murder for Robin Bereza and John Rogers' attacks, since he was the one who drove Joanna around while she selected victims and made her attacks.

At that time, Gary Stretch pled not guilty to all charges.

Robert Moore, who I had briefly mentioned earlier, he was the one who police spoke to who did have intimate knowledge of the crimes, but he didn't tell the police.

So he was charged with assisting an offender with giving them that tarp.

and lying to the police, which he originally pled not guilty to, but he did ultimately take a plea deal and he served three years.

Then Joanna was charged with three counts of first degree premeditated murder, two counts of attempted murder, and three counts of prevention of the lawful and decent burial of a dead body.

Now, like I mentioned earlier, Mark Lloyd was found not to be involved in any of the other crimes like disposing the bodies.

And even though he was present with Joanna when they went on that stabbing rampage with those two other victims,

It was determined that he wasn't there willingly, so he wasn't charged with anything related to that.

Instead, I believe he was used as a star witness at the trial of Joanne, Leslie, and Stretch to tell his side of everything that he witnessed.

Now, after the connection was made between Joanna and all three murders, they still had to continue their investigation to gather enough evidence to actually prove at trial that Joanna murdered these men and that Gary Stretch and Leslie Layton were both willing accomplices.

So, at first, when investigating the death of Wukash, they actually found a 14-year-old witness who lived at 11 Roliston Garth and who Joanna had befriended at some point at the same time that Joanna had killed Wukash there.

They spoke with the witness and she told them that after killing Wukash and transporting his body to the trash bin, Joanna actually grabbed the 14-year-old girl and showed her Wukash's body in that bin.

She told police that Joanna was bragging to her about murdering this man and wanted to show her what she had done.

This poor girl was so very disturbed by this, but she didn't initially tell police because she was scared that Joanna would hurt her too.

As I stated earlier, again, they did find blood evidence belonging to Wukash at 11 Roliston Garth.
