They noted that they knew about the altercations between Madison and Roan and knew that Roan had previously abused Oakley, so I guess they must have thought that Madison didn't do anything wrong and that Roan was the one responsible for most of it.

I want to note that Roan had a very strained relationship with his brother,

and around the time of Oakley's disappearance, the two were not on speaking terms.

Up to this point, everything we're learning about the situation is concerning.

Madison and Roan both admitted to abandoning Oakley after she was injured.

They lied about taking her to the hospital and apparently Madison is trying to make moves to move states and get her identity changed.

None of this can mean anything good.

After speaking with Roan's brother and mom, they were able to find the address of that trap house they were staying at.

Through that, they were able to speak with friends of Roan's who were in and out of the house, including one roommate who was there on the day that Colton was taken in by the sister, February 9th.

This roommate isn't identified by name, only by his nickname, Tennessee.

Tennessee told investigators that he was close friends with Roan, and he was there when he, Madison, Colton, and Oakley moved in in January.

From there, he was in and out of the house, so he wasn't there 24-7, but he was there enough to know a good bit about Roan and Madison.

He said that the two were very heavy drug users.

They typically snorted heroin, which would leave them out of commission for several hours at a time.

He said that Madison and Roan were not attentive at all to the children.

They rarely if ever held them and would often just plop them in front of the TV all day every day.

He never saw them interact much or even play with them.

He never saw them give the kids a hug or any sort of affection.

Though he did notice that Oakley once had bruises on her legs.

Tennessee said that he saw Oakley on the morning of February 9th.
